Term 6 week 7

Finally, i box that i didn’t cut up!

After weeks of altering the shape and solidity of boxes or cups I finally gave unaltered materials to the children - and so many of them cut them up!

This is exactly what I was hoping for, seeing materials in a new light and being prepared take risks in their making is just what I have been aiming for this term.

We spoke about how hard it might be to make holes in these boxes and that perhaps the perforations might act as an easier way in or place to cut along.

There were some boxes that stayed in-tact and I saw quite a few becoming secret, special places for creatures or belongings - these makes were theirs and theirs alone with a strong sense of ownership and pride - another aim of my Creativity Club.
